Small and large businesses got to tell about troubles and possibilities when recruiting international labour

When the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union hosted an informal ministerial meeting the format was quite different from a traditional EU meeting. The Danish Ministry of Business and Growth has in collaboration with the internal innovation unit MindLab rethought the format. Design, user involvement and visualization of figures gave the abstract discussions on EU regulation a concrete character, visibility and presence.

Despite being a small part of the company registration procedure, business industry codes are a frequent source of statistical errors, pressure on public sector telephone lines and erroneous company inspections. A new solution is set to streamline authorities' procedures and strengthen their service to companies.
